Acquisition of PC hardware through the institutes and facilities
Facilities of the RWTH Aachen University can buy standardized workstations and flat screens via the hardware online portal. This practice
is much easier and faster than the normal practice. By using the hardware portal it is not necessary for the institutes to compare different prices and the use of the "rosa Auftragsschein" is not necessary. Rules for the acquisition of PC systems can be found here.
In hardware portal project the Center for Computing and Communication and the department 12.3 take part.
