RZ-Helpdesk (CCC Helpdesk)


The Center for Computing and Communication has set up a Helpdesk for the various services it offers.

The RZ-Helpdesk (CCC Helpdesk) was specially created to be a central contact point for account activation issues, problems with the user administration and other questions relating to CCC services. Competent, specially trained student assistants are available to provide assistance with problems relating to CCC services, such as CAMPUS-Office, dial-up, email and WLAN.

We offer information and support for the following topics:

If you have problems with the installation or configuration and wish to take advantage of our assistance at the RZ-Helpdesk, please consider the following:  Unfortunately, due to heavy demand (particularly at the beginning of each semester), it is not always possible to avoid waiting times, as we need to consider the wishes of all customers fairly.  In order to keep your waiting time as short as possible, inquire over the phone about our current workload before visiting the RZ-Helpdesk.

  • Loss of activation code, user ID and/or password
    • Students receive their access data or activation code
      • By personally visiting the RZ-Helpdesk and showing their student ID and a government-issued photo ID (national ID, passport, or drivers’ license; The following will not be accepted: International Student Identity Card (ISIC), Pension/Social Security Card, etc.)
      • By mail, by sending a postage pre-paid, self-addressed return envelope along with a copy (front and back) of their national ID
      • Through an authorized person, who must show the RZ-Helpdesk a copy of the student’s national ID, a certificate of authority, and their own national ID.
    • Staff members have the same options for obtaining their access data as students. Unlike with students, a short message (telephone or email) to the RZ-Helpdesk is enough to get the data by mail, as it will be sent via internal mail.

For security reasons, we do not send password or access codes through email!

Naturally we will also help with questions about other services offered by the Center for Computing and Communication or direct you to the right place.

Additionally you can look at software handbooks, which can also be purchased Monday to Thursday on the reception between 08:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

On the reception between 8 a.m. and 16 p.m. you can also purchase CD-Rs (700 MB) for 50 cents apiece or DVD-Rs (4.7 GB) for 1 Euro each.
